The GM3OXX ONER Transmitter
(Old Style Kit)

Photo Courtesy of George Dobbs - G3RJVThe ONER is a small crystal controlled transmitter designed by George Burt - GM3OXX and built onto a one inch square PCB that gives at least 1-watt of output to 10MHz.  It is usable on 80m, 40m, and 20m, although on 20m is at reduced output (~750mW).  This is a very simple kit with very few parts.  Not included is the output filter, but excellent instructions are provided for winding a coil on a T50-2 toroid core(s) for either a simple three element low pass filter or a much better seven element low pass filter.

The photo at the upper right is a beautiful "ONER" built by George Dobbs - G3RJV prior to the first article on the ONER appearing in SPRAT.   That rig now resides in Kuching, Borneo from when he presented it to a local group at the Asian-Pacific QRP Convention in 1994.  Thank you George for allowing us to use that photo and sharing that bit of history.

Below are photos of the ONER built by KA8MAV.
